Children are encouraged to think about their bodies, feelings, and needs as that self-awareness will guide their activities.  They can choose to participate in an activity initiated by another learner, play outside in our natural play area, participate in a decision-making circle, feelings check-in, or pursue their own activity with a facilitator.  Children are encouraged to listen to their bodies for hunger and movement cues just as often as they listen to their bodies for ideas about their needs related to play and discovery.
